Jets' Sam Darnold shares honest assessment of third NFL season: 'I definitely didn't play well this year'
Earlier this week, Jets quarterback Sam Darnold told reporters that he believed his best days were ahead of him. Thursday's comments did not pertain to Sunday as a 28-14 loss to the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., saw Darnold struggle once more. As the Jets cap a 2-14 campaign, Darnold's 2020 NFL season closes with uncertainty. After Week 17's latest result led to further questions about the future of second-year head coach Adam Gase, Darnold answered with an emphasis on his individual performance instead.
