Olympic Judo Chronicles: 1992 Men's +95kg finals

World Judo Tour over and out for 2020
The IJF Executive Committee decided not to organise a Grand Prix in Zagreb in November and suspend the IFF World Judo Tour for 2020. After a short return to competitions with the Grand Slam Hungary at the end of October, the IJF hoped that at least another World Judo Tour Event could be organised before the end of the year, but the plan stranded despite the organising skills of the Croatians that hosted two top events last week.

Theme for World Judo Day is STRONGER TOGETHER
The theme for World Judo Day in 2020 is ’STRONGER TOGETHER’ which is a pledge to spread our values when the world needs it most. After the success of the 2019 edition, which saw more than 6,000 trees planted across the five continents, the IJF is once again active to carry out its values. The occasion will be organised and marked on 28th October, all over the world, to celebrate the values of judo.

Throwback: Life-time experience Miklos Ungvari in IJF education tour through India
The judo educational journey through India, organised by the International Judo Federation and the Judo Federation of Indian helped to lift the veil on judo on the Indian subcontinent. We take you back in time to 2016 when Ungvari made a promotion tour in India. In October 2020 a team of Indian athletes will be supported to attend the 2020 Grand Slam in Budapest.
