Odette Giuffrida books fifth Grand Slam victory and second in Abu Dhabi
With Odette Giuffrida, it is certainly the experienced generation that we see from Italy. She is world number six, twice an Olympic medallist and again on the podium in Doha this season at the world championships, Giuffrida is a sure value in Italian judo and a real powerhouse among her teammates. Seeded number one in Abu Dhabi, she captured the Grand Slam gold medal in Abu Dhabi, after perfectly controlling her contests, especially the semi-final against Astrid Gneto (FRA).

Judo: "Ma tête s’est transformée", sourit Priscilla Gneto après sa victoire à Bercy
Priscilla Gneto (-57kg) s’est offert une première victoire à Bercy à 31 ans. Médaillée olympique et championne d’Europe, la Corse rêvait d’un tel sacre. Elle a sauté sur l’occasion au terme d’une journée où elle a su montrer une autre facette de son judo.

Priscilla Gneto takes gold this time in Paris
In the final for women U57kg of the Grand Slam in Paris, Canada’s Jessica Klimkait and French Priscilla Gneto could not seem to find the right way to add power to their strategies, racking up the penalties for dropping, passivity mad gripping infringements. In the end it was Gneto who took the win and the crowd appreciated her efforts, as always, letting out a great cheer. Priscilla placed 7th in 2021, won bronze in 2022 and levelled up to gold for 2023.

Comme Priscilla Gneto chez les -57kg, Blandine Pont a remporté le Paris Grand Slam chez les -48kg. Amandine Buchard et Cédric Revol ont pris le bronze.

Trois Français étaient en lice pour remporter une médaille d'or au Paris Grand Slam ce samedi. Blandine Pont et Priscilla Gneto l'ont décrochée alors que Cédric Revol a échoué en finale. Amandine Buchard glane elle le bronze.
