IJF Sports Director Vladimir Barta enjoys the development of Lukas Krpalek
Czech Head Sports Director of the International Judo Federation Vladimir Barta was an athlete himself in the time of Czechoslovakia. He was multiple champion of his country and even World Champion at the World University Championships in 1980 U78kg. He became Sports Director since 2008 and since then he has been at most of the IJF World Tour events. He witnessed the rise of a remarkable athlete of his own country: Lukas Krpalek, now a global judo superstar in his country and in the world of Judo.

Arman Adamian surprises the top 8 and claims gold in Doha
Arman Adamian booked an impressive victory at the World Championships for men U100kg. We knew the ‘Russians’ are capable of stunting on day six, both Adamian as Ilyasov, however we didn’t know their form. Throughout the day it was Adamian who showed his power and qualified for the final in which he defeated judo legend Lukas Krpalek (CZE).
