Gankhaich Bold catches gold in Dushanbe U63kg
The final for women U63kg in Dushanbe pitted Gankhaich Bold (MGL) against Melkia Auchecorne (FRA) and it was a fast final. After less than 30 seconds, Gankhaich Bold exploited a mistake from Auchecorne, who stood behind her after the initial attack. Bold threw her with a seoi-otoshi for ippon and a gold medal for Mongolia.

Second Grand Slam victory for Lucy Renshall
At the second day of the Grand Slam in Baku the women’s category U63kg was again for Lucy Renshall of Great Britain. She topped the field again like she did in Antalya this year. In the final, Gankhaich Bold faced Lucy Renshall, who had come from raiding the silver in Paris; duel in the shade for the gold of Baku. Bold is 26 years old and has no medal on the World Judo Tour. Lucy is 25 and has 8 medals. It seemed an uneven opposition.
