Euro Open Ljubljana shows what needs to be done for the next level
On the second day of competition at the first-ever European Open in Slovenia, France claimed double gold in the lightest women's divisions, while the host nation came close to celebrating a home victory. Slovenia’s Nika Tomc reached the final in the -57kg category, giving the home crowd hope, but she was overpowered by Switzerland’s Binta Ndiaye, who made a strong comeback after her Olympic campaign in 2024.
