Daniel Fernandes (FRA) could be found all weekend around the warm-up mat or in the athletes’ tribune of the Accor Arena Bercy in Paris. He is a familiar face there, almost part of the furniture, but his attendance this year is different from that of previous years. Wesley Greenidge becomes Three-Time British Heavyweight Champion

Krzysztof Wilkomirski Elected President of Polish Judo Association
Krzysztof Wilkomirski has been elected as the new president of the Polish Judo Association. A decorated judoka, Wilkomirski won a bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships in Munich in the U73kg category and secured another bronze at the European Championships in Düsseldorf in 2003.

Elena Dengg fourth ever Junior World Champion for Austria
At the Junior World Championships Austria won the jackpot on day three in Dushanbe, the first gold medal since 2011 was for Elena Dengg. The last time to win the world title in this category was Bernadette Graf.
