2008 Olympic Champion Naidan Tüvshinbayar sentenced to 16 years
Olympic champion and former Mongolian National Olympic Committee President Naidan Tüvshinbayar has been sentenced to 16 years in jail for murder. A court in the Khan-Uul district of Ulaanbaatar jailed Tüvshinbayar for the killing of a childhood friend after a year-long trial that rocked the nation.

Peter Paltchik regains symbolic title in Paris
Peter Paltchik has regained the title at the Grand Slam in Paris. Despite the little number of competitors, it did have a strong quality field as in U100kg anything can happen. Paltchik was back at this old form and then he can conquer the world. Always strong names as winners, former Olympic Champions as Krpalek and Naidan and legends like Maret and Liparteliani won this epic weight category in Paris.

NOC President Naidan Tuvshinbayar jailed
Naidan Tuvshinbayar, President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC) , has been jailed for 20 days for an assault against another judoka Erdenebileg Enkhbat that has reportedly left Enkhbat in a serious condition in hospital. Tuvshinbayar, who became Mongolia’s first Olympic gold medallist in 2008 when he won the men’s U100kg, would serve 20 days in custody in connection with the incident.
